  • In this example, the hue utilzed is blue. Any hue can be utilized, adding white (tints) to the colour and/or black (shades) to the colour to enhance the colour combination.
  • It is a very simple colour scheme to utilize, but depending on the hue chosen and the extremes of the tints and shades used, this scheme can appear to lack diversity and vibrancy.
  • The visual effect is extremely harmonious, generally quiet, restful, and usually (depending on the hue utilized) subtle.
